“Nature can bring you to stillness, that is its gift to you.” – Eckhart Tolle The juxtaposition between ocean and forest is the full pleasure of nature for me. In most places you get one or the other. We are blessed in the PNW to experience both at the same time. Standing on…

“… Almost a Paradise of Nature.” National Park Service When I go anywhere in the PNW, I seek out a waterfront. It is my place to recharge my emotional batteries. This one did not disappoint. The sheer magnitude of the open skyline was impressive. I wish we had been there at sunset. I…

Summer is a beautiful time in the North West WA area. There are so many lakes and rivers to explore in a variety of ways. One of my favorite ways to enjoy the water is to float down a river in tube. This particular tubing route takes about 4 or 5 hours from…

This site is where I connect all our great adventures in nature to a more grounded and stable state of mind.
“Into the forest I go to lose my mind and find my soul.”

I live and work as a Life-Coach, Educator and Mental Health Advocate. My partner and I are enjoying our empty nest; living our best life, chasing our dreams in the beautiful woods, on the ever growing list of trails and soaking up the beautiful energy at the waterfronts of the Washington State coast and Puget Sound.
Why are we doing this?
- Because we recognized our lives were a never ending cycle of work, sleep, work and each day we felt more drained and less alive.
- Because it helps create new amazing memories and connects us to other adventurous people.
- Because soaking up nature, taking deep breaths in the forest or at the waterfront creates peace in my ever anxious mind.
We have jumped in head first into the beauty that is the world around us. Taking each moment, each breath, each bird chirp or crash of waves as a center to our lives. Experiencing the rewards of this has been filling my heart with joy, one hike at a time.
What about you? Do you ever think….
- How do I get a moments rest in a super busy day?
- What fills up your soul, what are your passions?
- What do you think about when you are feeling anxious or afraid?
- What small change could you make to help you feel more fulfilled?
You’re not locked into any particular way of life. You can make small incremental changes each day to help you feel more grounded, more in control of your daily emotional well being. It just takes many, little actions that move you towards your connection with yourself and nature.
Join us while we take this magical ride through life, collecting memories, stopping to take deep breaths and finding ourselves in the moment.
“The soul takes flight to the world that is invisible but there arriving she is sure of bliss and forever dwells in paradise.”
